Ram Navami, the annual Hindu and Vedic festival celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Rama (the divine incarnation and avatar of Lord Vishnu) took place over the weekend across several communities throughout the South Brisbane District.
Senior Police Liaison Officer Sam Narayan and Police Liaison Officer Ricky Lashand were honoured to be invited to the auspicious celebrations taking place at the Shree Laxminarayan Temple in Burbank, The Hare Krishna (ISKCON) Temple in Seventeen Miles Rocks and Shirdi Sai Sansthan of Brisbane Ltd program at the Runcorn Heights State School.
We were blessed to have the opportunity to listen to beautiful aarti and bhajan sessions, recitations from the Ramayana, and privileged to enjoy heavenly prasadam (food) as part of the wonderful programs.
Many thanks to all who made us feel so welcomed.
Jai Shri Ram!
