QPS and African Leaders Consultative Meeting

The Multicultural Development Association was the venue for the inaugural Queensland Police Service (QPS) and African Leaders Consultative Meeting on Wednesday evening at the Brisbane Multicultural Centre, Woolloongabba.
The forum was chaired by Acting Assistant Commissioner Brian Wilkins APM and featured panellists from the Queensland African Communities Council with representatives from the North Brisbane and South Brisbane Police Districts.
With over 50 attendees, the forum was an ideal opportunity for participants to express ideas and insights towards the development of a community led consultative group.
Acting Assistant Commissioner Wilkins said the QPS looks forward to working closely with members of the African community to ensure community safety.
Over the course of the evening, attendees highlighted their gratitude towards the QPS in shaping this initiative and they committed their support in moving forward for the benefit of the community.
