Police are investigating a suspicious fire at a Capalaba business last night.
Around 9:24pm, officers were called to the Steel Street premises with reports of explosions and smoke issuing from the structure.
On arrival, crews located the second floor well-engulfed.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Service officers extinguished the blaze which caused substantial damage to the business.
No one was injured during the fire.
Preliminary information indicates that the fire may have been deliberately lit using an accelerant.
A crime scene has now been set up while scenes of crime, forensic officers and investigators work to determine the cause of the fire.
