Police are urging vehicle owners to take appropriate security measures following an increase in the number of parked vehicles being entered in Cannon Hill and Murarrie. Offenders have seized the opportunity to break into vehicles or to access unlocked vehicles and steal property.
Please take time to consider your vehicle security arrangements. Thieves go window shopping too and will make use of easy opportunities to steal items. Lock up and reduce your chance of becoming a victim!
Do not keep valuables in vehicles. This includes: GPS units, laptop computers, mobiles phones, coin, personal belongings such as wallets, purses or sunglasses.
Lock your cars, even when parked in a garage or carport.
